Ester Maas is working at the UMCG since 2021 as project coordinator. She finished the study Human Movement Sciences in Groningen and started her career in clinical trials in a phase I CRO in 2002. Till 2017 she held a different number of Data Management and Project Management positions within phase I and late phase CRO’s. In 2017 she started working at a manufacturer of medical devices, coordinating the clinical pathway from pre-clinical to late phase trials to be able to obtain CE/FDA approval.

Since 2021 she is working in the UMCG as a project coordinator with the focus on investigator initiated cardiology trials varying from single center to international multicenter trials with devices and/or pharmaceuticals. Within the DECISION trial she acts a Project Manager, in which the UMCG is the initiator of this national trial.
