Folkje Bulthuis-Veenstra received her bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging and Radiation therapy (2003) from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and received her master’s degree in Business Administrator (2020) from the University of Amsterdam. In 2002, she started working at the University Medical Center Groningen (Radiology department). After two decades of working in healthcare, Folkje has successfully transitioned into the field of Research. Since 2023, she has been working as a project coordinator in the Cardio Research department. She is responsible for the conduct of Investigator-Initiated studies, often subsidized by public funds. This concerns several projects, varying from single center studies to international multicenter trials in the field of Cardiology. The projects and trials are mainly in the field of heart failure, rhythm disorders and Ischemic disorders.
