Gonda Renkema started her career in 2004. She began as a Medical Research Assistant at Pharma Bio Research (now known as ICON). After 4 years she became a Clinical Study Coordinator at Xendo Drug Development BV and later at QPS Netherlands BV. In this role, she was responsible for the setup and correct execution of (invasive) early phase trials.

Since July 2018, Gonda has been the team leader of the Cardio Research department at UMCG. She is responsible for coordinating and directing the team of nurses and assistants. Also, she collaborates closely with all other team members (project managers, researchers, doctors) to ensure that the research is conducted according GCP, and in a patient friendly efficient and effective manner.
