After graduating from HBO-V, she did the nursing sciences course and the diabetes nursing specialisation. Maaike has more than 10 years of experience as a research nurse in the UMCG and MCL. She has experience in preparing and conducting several studies in the HC, CCU and Cardio Research. Her main task consists of setting up and coordinating various studies. Since one year, Maaike has also started working on several Research Coordinator positions for a number of studies.

Maaike is also a superuser within EPIC. She is order set builder for the Cardio Research department.
